Why buy the licence
A subscription is for listening. If the music will sit in something you make, you need a licence. The price is on the track.

A grey area is not a licence
“Everyone uses Spotify in the shop” is a habit, not an agreement. The streaming service has paid for private playback. When the sound becomes part of a product you sell or premises you run, it is a different use.
A stock subscription solves the clearance as long as you pay. If the card stops, the right to new projects often stops too, and sometimes the right to what is already up. A one-time purchase is more boring. It is also easier to explain to a client.
What you actually get
- WAV and MP3, without a watermark.
- A licence certificate with a unique ID, and a page you can show.
- A right to use the track in what you make. See the licence for the list.
- Credit is recommended, not required. No monthly fee.
- A consumer’s right of withdrawal falls away when you ask for immediate delivery at checkout.
You do not get the copyright. You cannot sell the file on or release it as your own music. What applies is in plain words.
When this is the wrong purchase
If you need four hundred tracks in thirty genres, this is the wrong place. This is a selection, not a library. If you need known repertoire, that is a publisher. If you need a bed for a whole day in the premises, the collection is the shortcut: the collection’s own price, VAT included, unless a campaign price is set.
Every track is chosen for the mood it sets. Play it against your footage or your room before you buy.
Questions
Why can’t I just use Spotify in the video?
Because that licence is for private listening. A client video, a recording, and premises are a different use.
Is the price per film or per track?
Per track. You can use the same track in several productions. You do not need several licences for the same track.
What happens if Audioklang closes?
Licences already given remain. You have the file and the certificate. The licence is permission to use, not a subscription that dies with the website.
Can I share the track with the client?
The client can receive the finished film or presentation. The audio file itself is not resold. The certificate can be in your name or the company’s.
