How to use it
Live is covered. A release is not
You can play and mix the track live. You cannot sell the mix as a release, and you cannot upload the whole track on its own as if it were your track.
A mix on the web is fine when the track is one of several
SoundCloud and similar services are fine, as long as the track sits in a mix. Not alone, and not as “your” track.
Do not register the track as yours
You do not own the recording. Do not upload it as your own release, and do not register it as yours in Content ID or with a collecting society.
The rights, in plain words
- A live DJ mix: club, wedding, company party, festival, a paid gig.
- A DJ mix on SoundCloud or similar, where the track is one of several.
- Not a release, not resale of the file, not uploading the track on its own.
For your own channels and client work. Not television, radio, cinema, streaming services, or large campaigns. Credit is recommended, not required. The licence does not replace a TONO or Gramo agreement for public performance.
Why a DJ set is not the same as an event
An event is music in the room for the guests. A DJ set is mixing the tracks live. Same licence, different job, so two pages.
You are not buying a right to release the mix. You are buying a right to use the track in the set.
Price: the price on the track, VAT included, once. No account. An email address is enough.
Questions
Can I play this in a DJ set?
Yes. A live mix is in the standard licence. The price is on each track and includes VAT. You pay once.
Can I put the mix on SoundCloud?
Yes, when the track is one of several tracks in the mix. Do not upload the track on its own.
Can I sell the mix?
No. Not as a release on Bandcamp, Beatport, Spotify, or a paid mix album.
What does it cost?
The price is on each track and includes VAT. You pay once, and there is no annual fee.
Which files do I get?
WAV and MP3, and a licence certificate with an ID.
Can I pass the file on so others can copy it?
No. The purchase is one paid version of the track. You may not let others copy the file.
Is this AI music?
Yes. The tracks are made with the help of artificial intelligence. Each track is listened through and chosen by hand. How the music is made.
